Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all paid services provided by Calycks Websites Ltd, including custom website and SaaS projects, and Rudood AI assistant subscriptions. Because our work is digital, custom-made, and begins immediately on purchase, refunds are limited and granted only as expressly described below.
1. Custom website & SaaS projects
- Deposits (Business Clients). For Business Clients, the deposit (typically 50%) is non-refundable. It covers discovery, planning, design exploration, dedicated team time, and tools allocated to your project. Once we begin work, the deposit is fully earned.
- Deposits (Consumers). If you are a Consumer (an individual acting outside your trade or profession), you have a 14-day cooling-off right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If, at the time of purchase, you expressly requested that we begin work immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed, then: (a) if work has not yet started, you are entitled to a full refund of the deposit within 14 days; (b) if work has started but is not complete, you are entitled to a refund less a reasonable amount for work performed up to the cancellation date; and (c) once the service is fully performed, the right to cancel is lost. Where you did not give that express request, your full 14-day cooling-off right applies.
- Cancellation by the Client mid-project: subject to the Consumer rights above, if you cancel after work has started, all milestone payments due up to the cancellation date are payable in full, plus a reasonable charge for work in progress on the next milestone. We will hand over completed deliverables only after all sums are paid.
- After delivery and acceptance: once a milestone or final deliverable is accepted (expressly or by silence under our Terms), it is not refundable. Future changes are billable as new work.
- Cancellation by the Company: if we cancel a project for reasons unrelated to your breach (e.g. we cannot deliver), we will refund the unused portion of any deposit pro-rated against work performed.
2. Rudood subscriptions
- Free trial: where offered, the trial period is genuinely free. You may cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a billing period starts, the fee for that period is non-refundable, including if you stop using the service, change your mind, switch plans, or your account is suspended for breach of our Terms.
- Cancellation: you may cancel at any time by emailing info@calycks.co.uk. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period.
- Unused messages, tokens, or sessions do not roll over and are not refundable.
- Plan downgrades take effect from the next billing cycle. We do not refund the difference for the current cycle.
- Service issues: if Rudood is materially unavailable for an extended period due to our fault, we may, at our discretion, issue a service credit toward a future period. Credits are not exchangeable for cash.
3. Third-party fees
Costs paid to third parties on your behalf — domains, hosting, plugins, SMS, WhatsApp/Meta fees, AI usage above plan limits, payment processor fees — are non-refundable, as we cannot recover them once incurred.
4. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Improper chargebacks (made in breach of these terms) will be disputed, and you remain liable for the original amount plus any chargeback fees, recovery costs, and reasonable legal fees.
5. Consumer rights
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a Consumer. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel. For digital and custom services, this right is lost only where, at the point of purchase, you have expressly requested that performance begin during the cooling-off period and acknowledged that you will lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed. Where work has begun on that basis but is not yet complete, you may still cancel and receive a refund less a reasonable amount for work already performed. Nothing in this Policy limits any non-excludable statutory rights you have.
6. How to request
To cancel a subscription or request a refund, email info@calycks.co.uk from the email address on file with the subject line "Cancellation" or "Refund request" and include your account details. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy at any time. The version posted on calycks.co.uk on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.
